Notes for GUSSIE "BESSIE" FRANKLIN STEELE:
Newspaper obituary for Gussie Steele:
STEEL - The home of our dear Bro. B.F. Steel was made sad on the evening of January 18th by the death of his daughter Gussie Franklin, who was born January 31st 1884 and died Jan. 18, 1897. Miss Gussie was complaining some on Saturday, and on Sunday morning she was found to be speechless. Loving hands and skilled physicians did all that could be done, but the lungs had already congested beyond control and at 7 o'clock Monday evening her gentle spirit went back to God who gave it. When we see the young so cheerful and happy, so full of promise to home and Church suddenly snatched from us, we are made to say; indeed "God moves in a mysterious way his wonders to perform." Sorrowing ones look up the way your loved one has gone. She is yours still and you have contributed to the blood washed throng. Yours in loving sympathy.
